Contact Tracing NC II

This module will present you with the knowledge, skills and attitude that you must have before you conduct contact tracing including the basic knowledge of COVID-19, the guidelines and protocols issued by the World Health Organization, the Philippine inter-agency task force or IATF for emerging infectious diseases, and the Department of Health as well as the procedures for taking different vital signs and providing basic first aid.

This module will present you with the knowledge, skills and attitude that you must have in order to gather relevant and specific information from the identified, suspected, probable and confirmed cases of COVID-19.

This module will present you with the knowledge, skills and attitude that you must have in order to profile close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 cases. This includes classifying close contacts and preparing the appropriate forms, and verifying collected data while ensuring confidentiality of information.

This module will present you with the knowledge, skills and attitude that you must have in order to provide health education during the conduct of contact tracing. This includes assessing the health education needs and learning styles of confirmed cases and close contact as well as planning, implementing and evaluating health education programs.

This module will present you with the knowledge, skills and attitude that you must have to record and report data collected from the conduct of contact tracing activities and procedures. This includes knowing how to use the computer and the different computer programs and applications used in data recording and reporting, the basics of data encoding and records management, and the different computer programs used in contact tracing.

This module will present you with the knowledge, skills and attitude that you must have to monitor close contacts of confirmed cases, update client’s records, and inform your supervisor of specific cases or findings in a timely manner.
