A person who has finished this Qualification and has been assessed by an accredited institution is competent to be:

  • Engine Repair Specialist
  • Engine Repair Technician 
  • Engine Technician

This course covers the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required in order to perform your duties and responsibilities as an Engine Repair Specialist or Technician. It includes fundamental knowledge in workplace communication, team environment, occupational health and safety procedures, as well as the basic skills needed to perform automotive servicing.

Performing Periodic Maintenance of the Automotive Engine
Automotive Servicing (Engine Repair) NC II

This course covers the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to perform periodic maintenance of the automotive engine. It includes engine components and their functions, conduct pre- and post-service inspections, and carry out routine maintenance procedures to ensure engine efficiency and reliability.

Diagnosing and Repairing Engine Cooling and Lubricating System
Automotive Servicing (Engine Repair) NC II

This course covers the knowledge, skills, and attitudes you must have in order to properly diagnose and repair an engine cooling and lubrication system. It includes the principles of thermodynamics and friction, as well as the procedures for inspecting, diagnosing, and servicing engine cooling and lubricating systems.

Diagnosing and Repairing Intake and Exhaust Systems

This course covers the knowledge, skills, and attitudes you must possess in order to diagnose and repair intake and exhaust systems. It includes the functions of these systems within four-stroke cycle , as well as the procedures for inspecting, diagnosing, and servicing intake and exhaust components.
